Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is Jurify?
  2. Jurify is the home for top-tier attorneys and blue chip executives involved with the law. Created by experienced lawyers who grew tired of the painfully cloistered way law was practiced, Jurify is a 100% FREE, invitation-only platform that harnesses the collective genius of the best attorneys worldwide to deliver high-quality legal resources in mere seconds.

Our content is contributed by carefully-screened attorney members who share without pay. These lawyers are rewarded with recognition through direct attribution as well as placement in our practice-specific "Top Attorneys" lists. They also earn Achievements designed to showcase their accomplishments and provide additional validation to discriminating clients and employers in search of the best the legal world has to offer.

Through collaboration, Jurify offers unprecedented access to the law and the tools we use to navigate it. Now, no matter what your issue, Jurify is where you start.

  3. Why should I contribute to Jurify?

Lots of reasons! Sharing on Jurify can help you:

    • significantly increase relevant click-throughs to your publications
    • strengthen your brand
    • gain Jurify followers and important connections

    • open doors to new professional opportunities, as prospective employers and recruiters can see your achievements
    • earn recognition through Credibility Scores (see below) and Achievements
    • get real-time feedback from the community as they rate and comment on your content and
    • ultimately, source new business as our blue chip client members use our system to find great lawyers like you.
  4. By sharing on Jurify, you also help us achieve our mission of transforming the way people connect with the law. You're providing a valuable service that improves the experience of every member of our community. Through contributions of members like you, we're increasing transparency, accessibility and collaboration in the legal community. Together, we are liberating the law.

  5. What is a Credibility Score?
  6. A Credibility Score reflects an attorney's engagement with a specific legal subject. It is a numerical value generated using Jurify's proprietary Credibility algorithm, which considers a variety of factors, including the type, quantity and quality of the lawyer's Jurify contributions as well as his or her professional background and achievements. The higher the score, the better.

  7. How do Jurify activities influence my Credibility Scores?
  8. It depends on the activity. Generally, the more valuable a contribution or other activity is to our community and the better it reflects your familiarity with a subject, the more it will positively influence one or more of your Credibility Scores. In all cases, the higher the net community rating of one of your contributions, the greater the positive effect on your score.

The following lists show the relative effects of different Jurify activities on your Credibility Scores:

  9. Does everyone earn Credibility on Jurify?
  10. No. Only attorneys earn Credibility.

  11. I'm a lawyer in private practice. Why should I care about increasing my Credibility Scores?
  12. Your Credibility Scores represent not only your real-world achievements, but assessments of your Jurify contributions by your peers. Unlike other less-reliable rankings that reflect highly subjective ratings of who you are, Credibility Scores reflect what you've done. As a consequence, they are terrific indicators of your professional capabilities. That's why we use them to set your rank in our attorneys lists, including the "Top Attorneys" lists on our Results pages. The better your scores, the higher your rankings and the more likely you are to get noticed and enjoy the benefits of your contributions. See "Why should I contribute to Jurify" above for more on the benefits of contributing.

  13. What are the different Jurify resource categories?

Jurify groups legal resources in 11 different categories:

    • Forms & Precedent. Legal forms, precedent and exemplars written by experienced attorneys. These may be generic, annotated forms prepared to aid draftspersons, early drafts used in real client engagements or fully-negotiated documents. These can be Word documents or links to third-party websites. Remember: never disclose any confidential information!
    • Discussions. Questions and answers posted to our discussion forums.
    • Attorneys. Lists of attorney members who have earned high Credibility Scores in applicable practice areas.
    • Blogs & Websites. Links to law and business blogs as well as other web pages.

  14. What are Jurify Achievements?
  15. Jurify Achievements are rewards given to members who actively engage with the Jurify community. Each Achievement is earned by completing a predefined set of actions, such as making significant contributions of quality resources or providing useful responses to discussion forum questions. Not only do Achievements reward members for engagement, they offer conspicuous recognition of member accomplishments, providing another useful guidepost to distinguish talented lawyers from others.
