Jurify, LLC ("we", "our" or "us") is wholeheartedly committed to protecting your privacy and delivering services of the highest quality. To that end, we collect and use information about you and your activities on Jurify.com ("Jurify") while striving to protect your privacy. Our current policies and practices on this topic are set forth in this privacy policy (this "Policy").

Of course, as our services and the needs of our community evolve, we will update this Policy accordingly and post it to Jurify. We will also notify you of changes to our privacy practices, as described below.

Security Measures to Protect Your Personal Information

Although the transmission of information over the Internet cannot be guaranteed secure, we have implemented several precautions to safeguard your information. We do not sell or share any traceable, personally identifiable information about you to third-parties without your permission.

Despite our efforts, no security measures are infallible, and we need your help to protect your information. To avoid the unauthorized use of your account by others, please take precautionary steps to secure your password. You are responsible for all Jurify activity by anyone accessing your account with your password. We will never ask you for your password. Do not disclose your password if asked by any person claiming to represent Jurify. If you believe your password may have been compromised, please reset your password immediately.

It is important to note that Jurify contains links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and you should not assume that other sites take similar steps to secure your information. You should evaluate other websites' privacy standards yourself before using their systems.

Information Collected

Jurify is steadfastly committed to transparency, accessibility and collaboration. Accordingly, we require members to join our community using their real names. When you register, we request your professional and personal information, including your name, email address and academic and professional background. We also encourage you to share more information about yourself in your member profile, including your photograph and legal areas of interest. In the future, we may ask for additional or different information. All of this information, except your email address and password, becomes part of your member profile and is viewable by other members. This openness across the community enriches the experience for everyone.

As you use Jurify, we keep track of your IP address, your browser and the URL you last used before coming to Jurify. We also collect information about what you do on Jurify, including your page views, ratings, contributions and other information.

In addition, like many websites, Jurify uses cookies to improve your experience on our site. A cookie is a small text file that resides on your hard drive. You must set your browser to accept cookies to be able to use our site. As you interact with Jurify, our system will request cookies from your browser so that we can retrieve information about you, including your user ID and preferences. This saves you from having to reenter the same information every time you visit.

Our cookies do not contain information that others will use to identify you personally, and other sites cannot access the information you provide to use through the cookies we store on your computer. Most cookies are "session cookies," which are automatically deleted when you navigate away from our site.

Use of Collected Information

Our mission is to cultivate the world's most dynamic and vibrant legal community. To that end, we use the information we collect about you:

to enable you to progress in our Achievements system, including, if you are an attorney, earning Credibility;
to improve our site's content, functionality, services, security and design;
to produce aggregate statistical analyses, performance metrics and analytics products relating to our members, content ratings, traffic patterns and similar information, which we may share with third-parties; and
to provide feedback to contributors, publishers and other creators, which enables our members to produce better resources and make more favorable impressions.

In all cases, we will not disclose any personally identifiable information about our members.

We may also use the information we collect to notify you about the status of your account, important changes to our site, updates on content or activities on our site and new services. Further, we may contact you to verify your information or ask you about your experiences with our community. We will never spam you or sell your contact information to third-parties without your consent.

Except for communications that relate directly to the services we provide, you may "opt out" of receiving communications from us. (Don't worry. We won't spam you!) To opt-out of non-required communications, please let us know by sending us an email at admin@jurify.com. The subject line of the email should state "Unsubscribe – Jurify".

We may also develop business partnerships with other companies as part of our service to members.

These business partnerships may include acquisitions by or mergers with other companies or joint ventures that integrate our respective websites and services, and we may share your information with such third-parties. While we will seek to require such third-parties to follow appropriate privacy policies and will not authorize them to use your information except for the express purpose for which it is provided, we do not bear any responsibility for any actions or policies of third-parties.

Legal Related Disclosures

Kids and Parents

Jurify is not intended for use by children. No one under age 18 is allowed to join Jurify or make use of any of our site features. If your children disclose information about themselves in publicly accessible areas of our website, they may get unsolicited messages from other parties.

Accordingly, you should tell them not to do so. If you are concerned that your child may be using Jurify in contravention of terms and conditions, please contact us immediately at admin@jurify.com.

Consent and Changes to This Policy

By using Jurify, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy. If we change this Policy, we will post those changes on Jurify before they take effect. If we make any retroactive changes to how we disclose personally identifiable information to others, we will notify you by email and provide you at least ten days to object to such disclosure and to delete your registration.
